Description

Pitcher Steve Rogers spent his entire 13-year career (1973 – 1985) mostly as the ace of the Montreal Expos staff. He was selected to the NL All-Star team five times and twice led the NL in shutouts. This jersey is from the 1976 season. Roger signed his name in blue Sharpie on the team logo. The front of this Wilson, size 42, has the red-white-blue tackle-twill Expos logo with “expos” stitched below and Roger’s number “45” stitched on the right side in blue tackle-twill. On the back, “45” is stitched in blue tackle-twill. Sleeves are trimmed in red and blue piping. The Rawlings woven tag at the collar is red with white lettering. Stitched just below the column of buttons is a white year tag bearing “76 Set 2.” The 1976 Olympic logo is stitched on the right side as Montreal was playing host to the world event that summer.
