Rare 1934-43 Bee Hive "Stout Cloth" Shields (Crests) Near Set (8/9) With Brooklyn Plus Original Mailing Envelope. In addition to the multitude of Bee Hive photo cards a now very rare set of "stout cloth" team logos, or shields was produced that were destined for the shirts, jackets and sweaters of young hockey fans. This usage resulted if few surviving the passage of time let alone unused examples like this high grade near set of eight. Issued during the early 1934-43 Represented are the Maple Leafs, Canadians, Maroons, Black Hawks, Redwings, Bruins, Rangers and the very rare Brooklyn crest. The Brooklyn team only existed for one season (1941-42) and is very rarely encountered. Missing is the NY Americans crest. An original mailing envelope is included. Three, w/Brooklyn, have a light spot stain, otherwise patches grade NM to Mint.
