Description

Carter's talents helped him gain Cooperstown enshrinement in 2003. Although he was instrumental with the 1986 Mets World Series title, true baseball fans remember Carter playing north of the border during his formidable years. Worn by the backstop in his rookie season in 1974, wearing the number 57 prior to switching to the number 8 that he is best remembered for. The team emblem is autographed by Carter himself, with "expos" below and "57 to the right highlight the front while "57" is displayed on the reverse. The knit baby blue jersey has red, white & blue colours accentuating the sleeves. Applied in the interior neck is a tag reading "Wilson [size] 42" tag. The 1976 Montreal Olympic patch is featured on the right sleeve. "74 Set 3" is stitched on the bottom of the jersey as well.
